DON’T GET BEAT BY DIABETES
This was an awareness campaign between pharma client Novo Nordisk, Diabetes Canada, and the Heart & Stroke Foundation. I wanted these pieces to have an ever increasing sense of stress and doom. Visually, this was accomplished by starting with wide shots that increasingly get tighter and tighter as the stroke/heart attack begins. This, combined with in camera iris flashes (the white light that flickers near the end) help to create the right look and feel. Working with Toronto musician Robbie Grunwald, we created a modular drum track that allowed freedom in editing and filming, giving us the ability to pass from one section to the next when the edit demanded it, rather than cutting to the audio track.

I pulled double duty on this one acting as Director & Editor.
